Your child's school lockdown policy is grossly inadequate should it ever become challenged by a violent intruder, who becomes an active shooter. Schools only teach your student to sit on the floor and become a passive easy target of opportunity for one of these cowards to prey upon. Simple changes and courses in awareness can make a school 'safe' nearly overnight. Virtually all the technology in place in a school is useless, should shooting begin.
